Isaiah (he/him) is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has over 5 years of experience working in the mental health field with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CACREP accredited) both from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

He also helps individuals cope with trauma and address challenges associated substance use. Isaiah also works with people to improve maladaptive communication patterns and connectedness in relationships. He believes working alongside individuals providing a safe and welcoming environment is a key component to therapy. This allows the client to explore a path forward with an experienced clinician to provide support during difficult moments and life transitions.

Isaiah provides evidence-based treatment to include, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).  Isaiah’s therapeutic approach provides individuals with the tools and support they need to be better equipped to overcome life obstacles they may experience. He uses the cognitive behavioral model, which is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings and behaviors are constantly interacting and influencing one another.   He also guides the individual in creating a meaningful life while accepting and processing the difficult times to move forward.

Isaiah has advanced training in Trauma Informed Care, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Multicultural Competency, which provides him with knowledge, skills, and personal attributes needed to work with diverse individuals, including the LGBTQIA+ community. EMDR has been proven to be effective in primarily treating trauma and symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in children, adolescents and adults.

In his free time, Isaiah enjoys spending time with his fur babies, engaging in outdoor activities, and singing karaoke with friends.
